For therapists and recovery professionals

A community for yourSwiftie clients.

You know how powerful identity can be in recovery. Swift Steps® is a peer led recovery community for people navigating addiction recovery who also happen to be Swifties. For many members, that shared connection becomes the bridge to deeper reflection, accountability and belonging.

What it is

Not therapy. Not treatment. Community.

Structured peer support that complements the work you're already doing. Founded and run by a Certified Peer Specialist through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.

Explicitly nonjudgmental

Recovery is not linear and progress looks different for everyone. All pathways, including harm reduction and maintenance medications. Nobody's day count is asked.

Every day of the week

Ten plus meetings a week on Zoom, cameras optional. Tuesday's Speak Now is free and open. A companion app, Mastermind, holds them between meetings.

Clear boundaries

No diagnosis, treatment, assessment or medical advice, in any room or in the app. A crisis card opens every meeting. Facilitators escalate, they don't manage.

How referral works

Three steps.

01

Download the overview

A one page sheet you can hand to a client or keep on file. Meeting schedule, what we are, what we aren't.

02

Get a referral code

Email us and we'll send a code for one free month of full membership for your client. No card required to start.

They join, you stay in the loop

Only if they want you to. No attendance is reported to anyone. If a member wants their provider to know they're coming, they say so themselves.

The standards

What every room keeps.

  • A crisis resource card (988, Crisis Text Line, SAMHSA, Philadelphia crisis and treatment lines) posted at the start of every meeting and reverified quarterly.
  • Facilitators escalate crises to the appropriate service. They do not manage them.
  • No diagnosis, treatment, assessment or medical advice, ever.
  • Affirming for LGBTQ+, BIPOC and neurodivergent members. No one is asked to justify their identity, their pathway or their pronouns.
  • Not an abstinence program. Members on prescribed opiates, MAT, psychiatric medication or a harm reduction pathway are full members. We don't ask anyone to define their sobriety to us.
  • What is shared in the room stays in the room. Speaker shares are recorded only with consent. The share back is never recorded.

Who's behind it

A peer, virtually and in person at select events.

How it fits

Alongside your care, or as the whole program.

Swift Steps® can be a member's primary recovery community or run alongside AA, LifeRing, SMART, Dharma, group therapy or clinical care. Daily peer-led meetings and structured programming, not treatment.

Members talk openly about politics and human rights, including access to gender-affirming care. This is an affirming space and not a neutral one. Refer with that in mind.
